Thank you for your interest in CardsThatGive.org.
Anne Furse, the Houston-based founder of CardsThatGive.org, was inspired to create the site in 2005, when she was looking for holiday cards.
“I like the idea of sending cards that benefit a good cause,” she explained, “but it was time-consuming to search the Internet for hospitals, museums, and other charities that I thought might sell cards. I knew that most people don’t have time to do so much research, and wanted to make it easy for online shoppers to help these worthy organizations.”
Now in its third year of operation, CardsThatGive.org has been featured in articles in the Hartford Courant, Minneapolis Star-Tribune, Orlando Sentinel, Austin American-Statesman, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, and Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, among other publications. It was selected as a Kim Komando Cool Site of the Day in November 2007 and November 2008, and included in CoolMomPicks.com in November 2008.
Listing on CardsThatGive.org is free to qualified charities. To learn more about our criteria for including charities, click here.
“I think people want to give to effective organizations that need help,” says Furse. “This is an easy way to do it .”
